Rodrygo's early second-half finish, coming off the back of some great play by Diaz and a good save from Bellingham's initial shot. Further chances for Diaz, Valverde, and 19-year-old substitute Nico Paz came and went, as Los Blancos cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory, with goalkeeper Lunin not forced into a single save. That routine victory elevates the Madridistas to LaLiga's summit, thanks to their superior head-to-head and goal difference records over Girona, and leaves Granada second from bottom. They did defend well at times, but based on their (lack of) performance in the final third, that second victory of the season for Grana looks further away than ever.
